Mogul Experience: Solo Luxury Dubai Trip

Mogul Experience: Solo Luxury Dubai Trip

I've wanted to go to Dubai for so long! It has been one of the dream destinations on my bucket list. Since turning 30, I decided it was time to check it off my list. I didn't know how to fit it into my schedule because of the long distance, but when planning my summer trip to Europe, I said why not!! Even though summer is the off-season for Dubai due to the extreme heat, I still wanted to explore, and as a solid traveler, there was no better time. From the endless restaurants, beach clubs, and shopping, Dubai would be the perfect adventure.

Traveling to Dubai

From the US to Dubai, it can be a long distance. Most flights range from 12-16 hours! Since I was visiting London at the end of my trip, I decided to book my flight from London. I flew on Virgin Atlantic from Atlanta to LHR. Here is a crucial detail because London has a few airports. Because it was my 30th birthday, I decided to spend the extra coins in the words of Latto, "What you gone get big mama?" lol, and upgrade to business class. Best investment ever!!! Business class on Emirates is unmatched! Business Class included lounge access and priority boarding, and the ride was terrific. We were served a full-course meal with unlimited drinks and a bar on the plane. Yes, there is a full bar that you could visit throughout the flight for cocktails. Not to mention, upon arrival, they provide a private driver to any location within the Dubai area for no additional cost.

Accommodations

The Edition Hotel

I decided to stay at The Edition Hotel as a Marriott Girlie Edition, which is always a top choice in the chain. While searching, I discovered they had a new location across the street from the Dubai Mall. The hotel was excellent and centrally located. Most places I visited were 15-20 minutes away, making Uber rides inexpensive. The hotel offered three restaurants, a spa, and a rooftop pool with views of the Burji Khalifa.

The room was so lovely, featuring a balcony, and one of the most amazing things they offered was internet TV. I love hotels that have that capability so that I can watch Netflix in my downtime. The staff was accommodating throughout my stay, and even as a solo traveler, I felt very safe.

Places to Eat

Nammos Restaurant

Nammos is a must-visit restaurant in Dubai. TikTok rated it as one of the best spots. The restaurant is located at Jumeirah Beach at the Four Seasons Hotel. This restaurant features a beach club as well. The food and drinks were terrific, 10/10. I had the filet mignon, which was a great choice. The restaurant also featured sisha, which made the experience great. The ambiance was terrific, including the golf cart ride to the restaurant. It was a bit pricey. My bill was probably about USD 250, but it was well worth it!

Enish Lounge:

Enish is one of Dubai's Afrobeat lounges and is located at the H Hotel. This spot was highly rated as a must-go TikTok. This place was amazing. They had a live DJ playing the best of hip-hop and Afro beats. The food and drinks were terrific. I had a fantastic time vibing with patrons and staff. The menu was priced well. I would highly recommend it for a night of vibes.

Huqqa:

This place is a must-visit in the Dubai Mall on the top floor. During the evening, they offer outside dining on the patio with views of the famous fountain. I was about to catch a fountain show while enjoying fantastic food. The food and drinks were so good!!! I had the lamb chop, and they were perfection. I also ordered some cocktails that came in a treasure box. This place was so good that I visited it twice during my stay.

Beach Clubs

SAN:

SAN's Beach Club is one of Dubai's top beach clubs, and it lived up to its expectations. I rented a poolside lounger for about USD 90. They had great food and drink. They also have a shisha. The beach club has access to the beach. This spot is a must-visit.

Praia:

The Five Hotel features a beach club called Praia. The vibes were off the chain. A live DJ was playing the hits. On Thursday, they host Ladies' Day, which includes unlimited drinks and a bottle of Presco. It also contains one food option from its menu. The vibes were excellent, and you have access to the Five Hotel pool.

Dubai was overall a fantastic visit. I would visit again when it is cooler to explore the city and do more activities. I would highly recommend visiting. I would recommend choosing 3-4 days. That's all you will need to explore before heading to another destination.

Looking to plan trip purchase my Dubai travel iteniary which includes a full list of top rated restaurants, activities, hotels and more!!!!!
